The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service Centre (CAMHSC) of the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital,Yaba, Lagos is situated in the densely populated region of Oshodi, in Lagos State, Nigeria. It is the largest Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service Centre in the country Nigeria with a clientele base of almost 15,000 registered cases as at the end of the year 2016. read more...

Mental Health Road Walk

  YABA KICK STARTS WORLD MENTAL DAY

   WITH MENTAL HEALTH ROAD WALK

 

The 110th Anniversary of the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Yaba started today with members of staff, retirees and friends of the hospital embarking on a Health Walk. The Mental Health Train picked up from the hospital premises at about 8.45am and travelled through Murtala Mohammed Way to Sabo, Herbert Macaulay Way through Edmond Crescent and back to the hospital.    The Walk was thereafter followed by the World Mental Health Day Lecture.  The day’s Thematic Lecture which was delivered by Dr. Femi Olugbile FRCPsych, FNIM was tagged ‘Mental Health in the Workplace’. Dr. Olugbile was a one-time Commissioner of Health in Lagos State as well as a past CMD of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital
