MALE WARD 1, OSHODI

 

Male ward one Oshodi is a 40 bedded ward. It is headed by ADNS Aiyohu.

The ward admits both acute and chronic cases. It currently has eleven (11) paupers.

 

CORE NURSING DUTIES

• Handing and taking over.

• Bedmaking.

• Serving of meals.

• Serving of medications.

• Feeding of helpless patients.

• Wound dressing.

• Checking of vital signs.

• Health education on daily basis.

• Review of patients with other members of the health team.

• Counselling of patients and their relatives.

• Creating interpersonal relationships with patients and other members of the health team.

• Ensuring good personal hygiene of patients at all times.

• Daily and weekly assessment of patients' physical and mental state.

• Weekly review of patients.

• Documentation of patients care and ward activities.

• Coordination of ward activities in relation to patients' care.

• Ensuring the cleanliness of the ward at all times.
